The WoW Shadowlands Weekly Reset is coming – which means more new quests for the main story via Covenants, a new World Boss, and likely a hotfix update.
Let’s go over what we know so far, and what new content players can expect.
Shadowlands Weekly Reset January 26
What’s coming in the 26 January Shadowlands Weekly Reset?
Server Downtime
WoW Shadowlands servers will be down from 10am EST to 11am EST if all things run to schedule.
Weekly Resets have been known to be delayed with technical issues arising, so don’t expect this timeline to be perfect.
Hotfix Update Patch Notes
The newest WoW Shadowlands Weekly Reset arrives after a string of hotfix updates from 19 January to 22 January. Since then, however, we’ve not received any new tweaks and changes to Shadowlands.
For this reason, the Shadowlands Weekly Reset will likely come with some gameplay upgrades in a new hotfix – things like Covenant ability adjustments, Castle Nathria bug fixes, and more.

World Boss
Each new Weekly Reset pushes along the Shadowlands World Boss cycle.
This week, Valinor, The Light of Eons, will be the World Boss.
You can find Valinor in Bastion – and you can learn more about his loot table and fight mechanics here.
Great Vault
Without a doubt the best part of every Shadowlands Weekly Reset is the sweet, sweet feeling of opening your Great Vault once again.
Great Vault loot can compete with the strongest loot in the game if you put in the work, and you can have plenty of options if you did a variety of content.
