The Rock has teased the possibility of his Thanksgiving Day Macy’s Parade float becoming a skin in Fortnite. As you may recall reading, the Great One received a float in the annual parade by NBCUniversal to promote the upcoming sitcom Young Rock that is based on his life. The float depicted Rock in his famous turtleneck, silver chain and fanny pack from 1996.
Following the parade, ComicBook.com’s Brandon Davis posted to Twitter noting that the floar looked like a skin from Epic Games’ ridiculously popular online game. That brought a response from Rock hinting that such a thing may be in the works.
Fortnite has been no stranger to pop culture cross-promotion, with several Marvel-themed skins as well as Star Wars, DC Comics, real-life celebrities such as Marshmallow and Major Laser, John Wick and more. So while neither Epic Games nor NBCUniversal has commented on any Young Rock skins, it’s certainly a possibility. The current season of the game, which leans heavily into Epic’s Marvel promotional work, ends very shortly on December 1st.
Way ahead of you, BD 😉
Great minds 🥃
