The golden Fortnite skins in Midas’ room reveal a secret

Take a look at all of the Fortnite skins that Midas turned to gold.

This week, we got our first official look at the inside of Midas’ room. We saw some leaks of what we’d find inside, but things changed once Midas officially opened his doors to us.

As you can see from the introduction video, Midas has been collecting elements and skins from past seasons of Fortnite. He even went back to Chapter 2 Season 2 to grab the tier-100 Black Knight helmet.

It’s clear that Midas has been in the mix for a while. Black Knight is the oldest helmet in his collection, but he also has ancient skins like the Love Ranger, Alpine Ice, Lynx, and A.I.M.

Interestingly, Midas has two versions of Lynx. He has a full model of the skin along with a helmet version. She also happens to be a member of The Agency, as you can see from the original Season 2 video.

The Battle Hound is also an interesting collectible – since his helmet is already gold. What did Midas change, exactly?

Reddit user u/Koooooomar also discovered a few details that relate to the Tempest statue in Midas’ room. If you look closely, you’ll notice that this isn’t Tempest, at all.

There are a few distinct differences between Tempest and the statue. All you have to do is put the two side-by-side to notice them.

Who is this new character? Will the golden version be a new style for Tempest, or is this a different character, altogether?

We don’t have any cosmetic leaks that point to this skin in the game files, but it’s clearly not Tempest – as most players assumed. Could this be Midas’ suit for when his Doomsday Device is completed?

We’ll have to wait and see what happens – especially with the recent leaks surrounding a future Season 2 event. We’ll keep you posted when more details come out about these skins, the Tempest rework, and any other event leaks.
