Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 kicked off last week after a dramatic end to Season 4.
The new season is all about chaos with many old POIs and locations returning to the map.
Here is what we know about the first update of the season, the 15.10 update.
The first update of the season will be the 15.10 update.
It is rumoured that we will see approximately 4 updates this season.
That doesn’t sound like a lot considering the season is due to run until March 2021.
But with the holidays coming up there will be a few weeks where Epic Games aren’t updating the game.
In previous years they have given us content to see us through until the next update.
Chapter 2 Season 5 launched on December 2, one week ago.
Because of this, it is very likely that the 15.10 update won’t be until next week.
Updates are usually released anywhere from Tuesday-Thursday, so expect the update at any point between the 15th-17th.
The downtime for the update usually begins at 4am ET/9am GMT.
It usually lasts for around 2 hours before the servers go live.
Epic Games used to give us full patch notes with every update.
Now they don’t release any, perhaps the only major game that doesn’t.
Instead they offer some patch notes to creators who have a Support-A-Creator code, however these are generally very vague descriptions of what to expect.
You’d think after months of the community begging they’d give us patch notes again.
But nope, instead they want the community to find things out for themselves, which for a competitive game seems weird.
In 2019 we got Winterfest, a holiday themed event to see players through the holidays while Epic Games took some much needed time off.
Every day players got to unwrap a present which included skins, music packs, and other cosmetics.
There was also many changes to the map, with it covered it snow and other holiday themed decorations.
While not officially confirmed by Epic Games, it is expected we will get another Winterfest, or at least something very similar.
Recently Kratos from the God of War series was added to the game, the first gaming collaboration in Fortnite.
It has also been revealed that Halo’s Master Chief will be making his way to Fortnite too.
HYPEX leaked what Master Chief and his other cosmetics will look like.
Master Chief is expected to be released alongside the 15.10 update, but may come sooner as his files are already in the game.
It is also expected that there will be a Halo themed LTM added to the game too.
