New Armored Batman Skin Arrives In Fortnite

As the Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point crossover comic event comes to a close, players can pick up the Dark Knight’s newest costume in Fortnite.

DC’s Batman always has a knack for unveiling awesome armored suits in a tough situation, and now the Dark Knight is breaking out some spiffy new battle gear in Fortnite. For the past few months, the Caped Crusader has been fighting for his life in the pages of DC’s Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point crossover event, where he finds himself trapped in a deadly version of Epic’s massively successful multiplayer battle royale shooter.

It has been a journey that has seen Batman go toe-to-toe with the legendary GI Joe ninja Snake-Eyes and meet new heroes like Fortnite’s own Voyager. He has even crossed paths with the likes of Deathstroke, Catwoman, and Harley Quinn once again (though some have been surprisingly more helpful to his current predicament than others), and as the Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point crossover reached its final issue yesterday, the Dark Knight needed to pull out all the stops to escape Fortnite in one piece.

That means busting out a brand-new suit of Bat-armor, and GameSpot reports that the Armored Batman Zero character skin is now available to purchase in Fortnite. As part of a cross-promotion for the final issue of Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point, players who bought Issue 6 can enter a special code to receive the skin free-of-charge, along with Batman’s Exo-Glider, Batarang Axe, and Exo-Glider Cape. For those who didn’t pick up Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point #6, the entire Armored Batman Zero content pack can be bought for 2100 V-Bucks, or roughly $16.

Fortnite Armored Batman Zero Page

Batman is far from the only character caught up in Fortnite, as a multitude of his fellow DC Comics characters have been released as character skins over the past few years, including his arch-nemesis the Joker and his longtime rival Superman. On the Marvel side of things, the fabled God Of Mischief Loki made his Fortnite debut last week to promote his ongoing Disney+ series, and even real-life NBA star LeBron James could be joining in on the fun ahead of his upcoming movie, Space Jam: A New Legacy.

Batman’s new Zero armor certainly looks cool, and his trusty Exo-Glider and Batarang Axe will come in handy as Fortnite prepares to fend off an ongoing alien invasion. The Dark Knight’s time as a prisoner in Epic’s popular online multiplayer crossover extravaganza might be coming to an end, but players can still pick up the Armored Batman Zero DLC pack either in the Epic Games Store or within Fortnite itself to continue the bat-themed fun well into the game’s future.
