Fortnite skins are the highlight of any new season for a lot of people and we’re talking about the new skins we could see in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6.
Below, we’re talking about new collaborations, original characters, and what the Battle Pass is going to have in store.
With this season being chock-full of collaborations and “guest appearances”, we’re expecting Epic Games to slow down a little bit in Chapter 2 Season 6 when it comes to Fortnite skins that aren’t from Fortnite.
Fortnite fans have fallen into two schools of thought as we approach the end of Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6.
On the one hand, the more collaboration skins the better. People love to play as whoever they can in Fortnite and if their favourite character from their favourite movie gets a skin or two, why wouldn’t they love that?
On the flip side, there’s Fortnite’s identity that seems to be coming under fire. With all of these new characters being labelled “Hunters”, it’s also tainting people’s opinions on the characters included.
For example, calling Ryu and Chun-Li Hunters seems a little lazy from Epic Games. They aren’t hunters in the same way The Mandalorian or Master Chief might be and it almost comes across as a quick cash-grab from Epic Games.
Of course, both opinions are valid, but logically speaking it might make sense for Epic Games to let the dust settle after a jam-packed season.
If there’s one thing Epic Games do well, though, is original characters!
Agent Jonesy aside, we’ve had a few amazing minor characters in the underling Fortnite narrative get their own skins.
Peely, Fishsticks, Mancake. They’re all fantastically wonderful characters that offer up something unique to Fortnite players.
Of course, running around as Kratos or Master Chief is also great, but we shouldn’t take anything away from the work Epic Games have done to build a brilliant cast of Fortnite characters on their own terms.
With this in mind, we’re fully expecting to see some more original character skins in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6. These will most likely be filtered in with the crossover skins and Icon Series skins that popular Fortnite streamers are getting scattered throughout each season.
However, at the moment, we won’t know more until the season actually starts.
If we’re talking speculation, we can imagine that Jonesy will get another new appearance alongside a few of the newer original characters to reflect the events of the Zero Point’s climactic finale that’s on the way.
New Battle Pass Skins
Each season, Fortnite has a brand-new Battle Pass for players to play through throughout the season.
It usually costs 950 V-Bucks and we’re pretty confident this is going to stay the same, but what about the skins?
Each Battle Pass usually comes with around seven cosmetic skins for Fortnite, however, there is no real information about what’s in store.
The Chapter 2 Season 4 Battle Pass was Marvel themed, so it featured skins for characters like Thor and Storm, but without any information about what’s to come in Chapter 2 Season 6…
Although we’re expecting Epic Games to continue with their collaborations, they most likely won’t feature as heavily in the Battle Pass unless it is specifically themed to be like that.
