Justin Jefferson’s famous touchdown dance set to debut in Fortnite

What began in Death Valley as a unique touchdown celebration dance has since grown into a move adopted by athletes of every sport all over the world.

Justin Jefferson’s “Griddy” dance has made its way into the big leagues, and now virtual reality?

Yes, that’s right.

“The Griddy” has become such a phenomenon in the world of sports that it will now be immortalized in the beloved Fortnite video game.

Fortnite representatives announced the Griddy will be a new “emote” that players can hit in matches.

Jefferson was a standout player at LSU, particularly within the historic 2019 offense, and has continued the upward momentum into his NFL career.

He had one of the best rookie seasons for a wide receiver in league history last year, setting a record with his 1,400 receiving yards.

“Yesssirrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Jefferson tweeted. “Dreams coming true.”

This emote will be available starting Wednesday. With just one click of the controller, avatars can celebrate a gnarly kill by hitting The Griddy.

What more could a 21-year-old NFL star want in life?

Let’s get Griddy with it.
