How To Get The Free Tactical Quaxes Pickaxe

Fortnite is giving away a free pickaxe to celebrate the Easter Holiday, and here is how players can get the free Tactical Quaxes Pickaxe.

To celebrate the Easter Holiday, Fortnite is giving away a free pickaxe. However, players will only have a limited time to claim this pickaxe, and getting it isn’t as simple as logging in. Instead, players will have to earn the free cosmetic items by completing a single challenge. Here’s how the free Tactical Quaxes Pickaxe can be claimed during Fortnite Season 6 week 3.

Fortnite Season 6 week 3 falls on the same week as Easter which means a few of the weekly challenges are themed around the holiday. Players have to hunt chickens, use chickens to fly, and even participate in a massive Easter Egg hunt around The Island. Foraging Bouncy Eggs is this week’s Legendary Challenge which means players only have one week to collect 50 eggs and claim loads of experience points. However, these challenges will also grant players the free Tactical Quaxes.

How To Get Fortnite’s Tactical Quaxes Pickaxe

Fortnite Bouncy Eggs Foraging

Just like every other week, Fortnite Season 6 week 3 has a set of limited-time Legendary challenges that can be completed to earn a large number of XP. However, the first Legendary challenge will reward players with the free Tactical Quaxes pickaxe. In order for the challenge to be completed, players just need to forage 10 Bouncy Eggs which are relatively easy to find. The rest of the Legendary challenges scale the number of eggs up by 10 in order to be completed. This means a total number of 50 eggs have to be collected in order to complete all of the week 3 Legendary challenges.

Finding these Bouncy Eggs isn’t like a normal Easter Egg hunt. These items are hidden in bushes or potted plants but are actually found wherever loot spawns. That’s because Bouncy Eggs are consumable items that give players shield when eaten. Bouncy Eggs are found in chests or on the floor, and they can be stacked up to 15 like fruits and vegetables. Not only will the player gain shield, but they will also be given the low-gravity effect making them able to jump higher. Players will also not take fall damage when the low-gravity effect is active. Even though players will be pressing the same button they use to pick up weapons or items, collecting these Bouncy Eggs counts as foraging. They will only be around until April 8th, so players better get to hunting if they want a new fancy pickaxe.
