How to complete your Fortnite Season 5 Week 6 challenges

SypherPK doesn’t like the state of Fortnite shotguns in Season 5, and he believes that this is because Epic Games replaced Upgrade Stations with Bounty Hunters that are spread out across the map.

Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 5 is filled with a plethora of exciting content. We have brand new map changes, cosmetics, quests, weapons, and crossovers with other franchises. There is a lot to enjoy in this update, but that doesn’t mean that fans consider it to be flawless.

Ali ‘SypherPK’ Hassan has been having a great time with Season 5, but he has one major issue that he went over in his latest video. He’s not a fan of the way shotguns this season, and he feels that the addition of NPCs is the reason for this.

SypherPK explains how NPCs have ruined shotguns in Fortnite

Sypher started by talking about how many times the Fortnite shotguns have been vaulted in the past. They were removed when the Combat Shotgun was introduced, as well as during Chapter 2 Season 3. The lack of Pump Shotguns led to players spamming during combat.

Despite that, he considers the situation to be different in Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 5. He explained that the problem he has with the state of this weapon is related to the upgrades. You used to be able to improve weapons at Upgrade Stations, but now you need to rely on specific NPCs.

“I’m not a fan of the current state of shotguns,” he stated. “I love this season, and I’m having a great time playing the game, but I’m really not a fan of how the shotguns are this season, and there’s a good reason why.”

“[It’s] because of the way upgrades are being handled right now,” he explained. “You upgrade your weapons using gold at certain NPCs, right? So, already there’s a bit of a problem because the amount of NPCs that can actually upgrade your weapons is a lot less than the [number] of Upgrade Stations that existed.”

“Not every single NPC can upgrade your weapon. Actually, most NPCs do not upgrade weapons for you,” he said. “This upgrade stuff is relevant is [because] a Green Tactical Shotgun is not the strongest gun. It’s not that reliable.”

“But a Purple Tactical Shotgun or a Gold Tactical Shotgun goes pretty hard,” he added. “I think they’re very strong, reliable guns. The problem is, in a lot of games, you don’t get the opportunity to upgrade even if you have gold.”

“I think every single NPC should give you the option to upgrade your weapons,” he said. It’s a simple solution that will make it easier for players to get their hands on better shotguns, which will make them more viable.

SypherPK Fortnite Shotguns NPCs

Ultimately, SypherPK disagrees with the decision to replace Upgrade Stations with Bounty Hunters. This is because not every one of these NPCs gives the option to upgrade your abilities, so having to travel to the right ones can be tedious.

Whether or not you agree with this opinion on shotguns in Season 5, his suggestion to give every NPC the ability to upgrade your weapons would certainly make things more convenient. The comments are filled with fans who share this view.

He also mentioned that he believes we’ll see the return of Pump Shotguns to the game soon. They may not be added in the current season, but hopefully, we’ll see them become part of the game before the year is over.
