The competitive scene in Fortnite currently comprises some of the best Esports athletes in the world. While a majority of them only earn from tournaments, others have also built a large fan-base by showcasing their skills on platforms like Twitch and YouTube.
Professional player for NRG eSports, Clix, certainly belongs to the second category. He has won hundreds of thousands of dollars by playing at reputed tournaments like the Fortnite World Cup and the FNCS. In addition to that, he is one of the fastest growing streamers on Twitch, and currently boasts over 4 million followers.
It won’t be an overstatement that Clix owes a majority of his success to Fortnite. He rose to prominence by qualifying for the world cup in 2019, and hasn’t looked back ever since.
Having said that, Clix leaves no opportunity to call out Epic Games for its failures. These include the developer’s inability to maintain a balanced meta in Chapter 2 Season 6, and ban stream snipers even after they are heavily reported.
Owing to his harsh remarks, many fans believed Clix will soon quit Fortnite altogether. However, the pro player recently addressed all such rumors.
Fortnite pro Clix opens up on retiring from streaming and content creation
During a recent live stream, Clix was answering some interesting questions by his viewers. A fan asked the streamer what he’d be doing if he never started streaming and content creation.
Clix was quick to claim that he’d still be in school, or would have been working for his dad. The conversation soon shifted to retiring, and the pro player admitted he hates retiring.
Clix’s parents have worked multiple jobs and believe that hard work is a must in life. This explains why the Twitch streamer is so keen on working, and never wants to sit idle in life.
As expected, a maximum of fans were asking Clix if he’ll quit Fortnite. He finally broke silence on the matter and rejected the possibility of him ever quitting the game.
“I’m not gonna quit Fortnite. Never!”
Looking back at his journey, Clix remembered how he starting playing Fortnite for fun, and eventually became too good at it. He played tournaments and constantly bagged the top prizes. It seems like his goal was never to become the best, but it just happened.
All in all, it is safe to assume that small setbacks will never lead to Clix quitting Fortnite. This is just the beginning of his career as a Fortnite pro and creator, and from the looks of it, he has the ideal mindset to achieve even more in the years to come.
