Fortnite’s Chug Jug With You

As explained in the song’s description, “Chug Jug With You” was made as a joke by Leviathan, while the main chorus of the song itself was created by CMSkits on Instagram who gave permission to Leviathan to use in the song parody. Listening to the full version of the song additionally reveals parts where he purposefully cracks his voice for comedic effect. Long after the song’s original release came multiple popularity surges on TikTok. While there are of course videos made to poke fun at the song, there are many on the platform who genuinely enjoy it. Many cite how clearly Leviathan pronounces the song’s words as part of the appeal, with most of those using the song not posting any other Fortnite related content.

“Chug Jug With You” itself references plenty aspects of Fortnite with lyrics such as “We’ve got a, number one Victory Royale. Yeah, Fortnite we ’bout to get down.” Obviously, the titular part of the song is a reference to the Chug Jug item from Fortnite. With the song originally being released back in 2018, it does not reference the fact that Chug Jugs were removed from main gameplay in Fortnite as of the 11.00 Patch released on October 15th, 2019.

The Other Songs

After “Chug Jug With You,” Leviathan released another Fortnite parody song under the title of “Fortnite is Trash” on February 16th, 2019. This song is a parody of “Baby I’m Yours” by Breakbot, with much more negative lyrics regarding Fortnite and its updates.

The parodies would not end with this, with Leviathan’s third and most recent Fortnite song parody being released on March 28th, 2019. Reflecting the disappointment in Fortnite with “Fortnite is Trash,” the final parody is titled “Wall Dynamo,” a song about missing the Wall Dynamo map after it was released, and it is a parody of John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads.”

As Wall Dynamo is the last Fortnite parody by Leviathan, the creator never made a new song parody of any kind on his Youtube channel after this. He has, however, uploaded a remix of “Fortnite is Trash” back in August 2020, as well as two different remixes of the original “Chug Jug With You.” The first remix is known as the Kousax remix and was released on October 31st, 2020, with the second remix named the @Rok Nardin Remix being released on March 3rd, 2021.

TikTok Fame

There are multiple ways that TikTok users have been using “Chug Jug With You.” Some of the most common videos feature people dancing and lip-syncing to the song considering that being the original purpose of the app, while others have created their own parodies of the parody song, changing some lyrics to reflect different situations for comedic effect.

While certain sounds on TikTok only seem to hit specific communities within the app, “Chug Jug With You” is one of the few that has managed to infiltrate multiple groups. The Fortnite community on the app, of course, has been using the audio for gameplay videos and highlights uploaded to their accounts. Other gaming communities have also used the song among their gameplay videos as well, attempting to make the video fit the audio as well as they can.

As mentioned before, there are plenty of people who use the audio to both make fun of the original parody creator and Fortnite itself. The majority of the reactions, however, are very positive, with many just enjoying Leviathan’s voice and creating additive content around the song. It has also inspired multiple fun videos that wouldn’t have been created without the parody existing in the first place.

More From Leviathan

Despite the fact that Leviathan hasn’t created a new Fortnite parody since 2019, the remixes by collaborators are relatively recent. Because of this, it’s very possible that the recent TikTok popularity may inspire new parodies for Fortnite or other video games in the future. With how young his voice sounds in these songs, it is unknown how Leviathan’s voice sounds in 2021 and how it would sound in another parody song.

While Fortnite remains incredibly popular among streamers on Twitch and gamers, other popular games have taken a hold of the internet since 2019. There are also plenty of funky songs out there that could use the “Chug Jug With You” treatment for even more comedic tracks. “Wall Dynamo” additionally is the only song of Leviathan’s to not have a remix on his channel as of March 2021.

Many have flocked to Leviathan’s YouTube channel after the popularity of the song on TikTok, meaning that there are plenty of fans that would be interested in hearing more. Leviathan’s YouTube channel currently has 62.1K subscribers, which isn’t a bad number at all considering how sporadic his upload schedule is. The hype for “Chug Jug With You” hasn’t died on TikTok either, meaning that soon might be a good time for a new song. For now, there’s no telling if Leviathan intends to follow this up in any way, so fans of his parodies just need to wait and see where this trend goes.

Fortnite is currently available for Android, Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
