Introduced in Fortnite v12.00, Skye’s Grappler is one of six Mythic items added for the start of Chapter 2: Season 2, it being the only one of the bunch that is not a weapon.
An unlimited use spin on the traditional Grappler, which itself remains Vaulted, only one of Skye’s Grappler spawns per match. It is the first Mythic item added to Fortnite that is not a weapon.
Here’s everything you need to know about Skye’s Grappler in Fortnite Season 2.
Skye’s Grappler Stats
Though it doesn’t do any damage to enemy players, the usefulness of Skye’s Grappler cannot be overlooked. Its unlimited use means that you can use it to escape the storm reliably, or to reclaim the high ground without having to use nearly as many materials.
Skye’s Grappler Location
To track down Skye’s Grappler, head on over to The Shark POI, one of the new locations for Season 2 of Fortnite’s second chapter. The Shark looks like a getaway retreat for supervillains, it being situated in the cluster of islands in the northwest of the Fortnite map.
To get Skye’s Grappler, you will need to eliminate Skye herself, which is far easier said than done. The Shark is always a busy POI, and her SCAR absolutely shreds, so you have to play it smart if you want to kill her. You could always let someone else kill her first and then kill them afterwards, of course.
You can usually find Skye on the bottom level of The Shark, right near the Vault. Like other bosses, she has roughly 300 health and packs a punch. Once she’s been eliminated, you can pick up Skye’s Grappler, Skye’s Assault Rifle, and also the keycard to gain access to the Vault, from which you can jump in a toilet to make your escape.
Fortnite: Chapter 2 – Season 2 is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.
