Format Changes To Fortnite Season 6 FNCS
Epic Games has made “slight adjustments” to this season’s qualification format.
Teams that placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in Chapter 2 Season 5 already qualify into Finals for Chapter 2 Season 6 and thus cannot participate in the Qualifiers or Semi-Finals.
Some quick highlights of the format changes are:
- Top 3 teams from each Qualifier will skip Semi-Finals and directly advance to Finals. All other teams earn Series Points for the opportunity to advance to Semi-Finals.
- All regions will have three Heats (instead of four last season) in Semi-Finals and the Heats will be played on the same day.
- Reboot Round is expanded and will have, at a minimum, three matches and up to six matches total.
Fortnite Season 6 FNCS Scoring
There are a few adjustments for single-lobby rounds compared the last season’s point format based on player feedback. FNCS has decided to award points more evenly across the top and at pivotal points during a match. Most importantly, teams that make it past Storm Surge thresholds will be rewarded.
