Here is what we know about the March 17 Fortnite Update.
Fortnite is one of the most popular battle royale games in the game industry right now. It’s been over four years since the game was released and still continues to grow exponentially over the years.
If you have been following the game for a while you might be well aware of the fact that Chapter 2 Season 6 has just made its debut in the game. It is one of the biggest updates for the game, as it not only changes the map but also adds animals, new items, and cosmetics in the game. Quite notable of all is the addition of the all-new crafting mechanic. While players were quite hyped up after the launch of the latest season, many started facing a wide range of issues, especially on PC.
Fortnite March 17 Update Explained
Epic Games has released a maintenance patch for PC players today which will improve the game’s stability. While the exact patch notes aren’t revealed this is likely focused towards the various issues which cropped up due to the update. Here is what the tweet reads:
We’ve released a maintenance patch for PC that improves game stability. You will be prompted to download the update the next time you launch the game.
Considering that this is a maintenance patch, it shouldn’t be that big and players should be able to download it quite easily. If players haven’t received the update yet, they need to restart the game to get the update.

What issues were people facing after the Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 update?
Like every major update, the Season 6 update also had its fair share of bugs and flaws. There was an issue in Creative mode which prevented Creators from dropping a specific amount of materials or ammo. Other than that, players on PC were experiencing crashes while using the Performance mode and using DX12 beta. Some were also experiencing low quality textures, which could be fixed by just tweaking the game settings.
