As 2020 comes to an end, so does another week of challenges in Fortnite. With this, Season 5 of the game gears up for another week of interesting challenges for its players. As Operation Snowstorm departs, it is going to be a Week of Gnomes in Epic’s Battle Royale game, according to Forbes.
Forbes says the fifth week of challenges is “all about gnomes for some reason. Finding gnomes. Digging them up. Burying them. It’s gnomes and more gnomes this week.”
After the week of tomato-themed challenges, Fortnite sure has picked yet another crazy theme for its challenges.
As of now, Forbes only managed to get their hands on the list of quests. Unfortunately, there is no information about the rewards players can unlock by completing these quests.
Week of gnome challenges in Fortnite
Just like every other week, this one will also have seven epic quests. Completing these quests will reward players 20,000 XP, which will help them progress their Battle Pass faster.
- Find the buried Blue Coin in Retail Row (1)
- Dig up Gnomes from Fort Crumpet and Pleasant Park (1)
- Search chests or ammo crates (15)
- Collect Gnomes from Fort Crumpet and Holly Hedges (1)
- Bury Gnomes in Pleasant Park or Retail Row (2)
- Deal damage within 10 seconds of resurfacing from sand (1,000)
- Deal damage while crouched (500)
Apart from these epic quests, there is also a legendary quest worth 55,000 XP. To complete it, players will have to eliminate a certain number of IO guards that Epic introduced in Season 5.
A lot of these challenges are pretty straightforward and don’t require explanations. However, there will be guides coming up for the more difficult ones that players may have a hard time completing. There will also be a location guide for all the IO guard spawns all over the map, making the legendary quest easier.
Fortnite really outdid itself with Season 5 after an epic crossover with Marvel. Following a star-studded crossover is not an easy task, but Epic Games introduced an immersive storyline yet again. Fans are having an absolute blast playing the ongoing season and eagerly wait for what more is in store for them.
