The datamining done during the implementation of the v12.60 is irrevocable: Doomsday is about to begin in Fortnite. This morning, leakers from around the world identified various lines of code and files referring to this event. Spedicey even went so far as to find the location of the future countdown, which will announce the exact date of the event.
It is above the Agency that the countdown will be displayed. At the time of writing, it hasn’t yet appeared. Midas’ lair will be the scene of the next event on the battle royale.
Earlier in the day, other players highlighted clouds that seem to be piling up above the building. They’re gathering in a circle, hinting at a tornado or typhoon.
Chances are these clouds will increase in number over the coming weeks.
Other elements support the theory of the storm starting from the center of the map. A few weeks ago we shared with you our concerns about puddles appearing all over the map. The metal tanks which surround the Agency, will also have a role to play in the event.
It’s very possible that a large part of the map will be submerged at the end of the Doomsday event. Several clusters of clues point in that direction. The water could come from underground, or it could come in a heavy rainstorm…
A piece of advice: put on your armbands and equip yourself with a strong umbrella!

A new discovery is generating a buzz in the Fortnite community. A bug in-game makes it possible to replace each opposing building simply by looking towards the north.
