Week 7 of Fortnite Season 5 is here with new Epic and Legendary Challenges. This week, players head to Slurpy Swamp and play with and without shields.
Another new week means new challenges in Fortnite Season 5, and this week, players will be heading to the Swamp. Each week during the weekly patch, Epic Games introduces a new set of Epic Challenges to their popular battle royale game, plus an extra Legendary challenge that can be completed in stages for even more season XP. During Season 5, players will not receive all the weekly Epic Challenges at once. Instead, they will only receive two at a time down different “tracks.” They will need to complete the tasks in the order they are given for each challenge to register as complete and reward XP.

This week, players will be spending a lot of time with Slurp Juice and Slurpy Swamp, as well as gaining shields and making eliminations without them. For the Legendary challenge, players will need to deal damage from any of the vehicles scattered around the Fortnite map. Completing each Epic Challenge will net players 20,000 XP, and completing the first stage of the Legendary Challenge grants players 55,000 XP while every subsequent stage rewards an extra 22,000 XP. Most of the Challenges for Week 7 are location-specific, so players will need to be careful to avoid opponents if they decide to complete Challenges during a typical match. Here’s every Week 7 Epic and Legendary Challenge in Fortnite Season 5.
Every Week 7 Challenge in Fortnite Season 5
Most of the Challenges during Week 7 are fairly straightforward and shouldn’t take players too long to complete. They aren’t as involved as they have been in previous weeks, although that may make them feel a little more “grindy” than usual. The Week 7 Epic Challenges are:
- Visit Houses in Slurpy Swamp in One Match (2)
- Collect Books from Holly Hedges and Sweaty Sands (5)
- Consume Shield Potions (3)
- Destroy Slurp Barrels (10)
- Search Chests in Slurpy Swamp (7)
- Gain Max Shields in a Single Match (1)
- Eliminations with Zero Shield (1)
Players will also want to try to eliminate an opponent as quickly as possible once they land to more easily complete the Eliminations with Zero Shield challenge. It is very likely most players are going to be planning landings at Slurpy Swamp, which tends to be a decently popular landing area even when there are no active Challenges there. Due to the limited number of chests and the volume of players trying to earn their Battle Pass XP, it may be a good idea to complete many, if not all, of the Challenges this week in Team Rumble mode.
The Legendary Challenge takes place in 5 stages and asks players to deal a certain amount of damage to opponents while inside a vehicle. The stages are:
- 500 Damage
- 1,00 Damage
- 1,500 Damage
- 2,000 Damage
- 2,500 Damage
Players can choose one of the many cars found around the Fortnite map, but vehicle can also refer to a motorboat or a Choppa. Choppas are likely the easiest to use, as players can stand on the runners to shoot from midair. However, they are also somewhat difficult to reach without a few fights with opponents. Motorboats, which contain missiles that can be used for dealing damage, or cars might be the easier choice.
Dataminers also found that Week 7 of Fortnite Season 5 will include a few new weapons, a new LTM, and the secret Predator skin, which will require players to complete a series of challenges to unlock. Players will want to be sure to complete those challenges as well for more XP and rewards and to get closer to receiving the new, highly anticipated skin.
Fortnite is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Android devices.
