Week 2 of Fortnite Season 5 offers a return to the typical Weekly Challenge format, with a little twist. Players can complete challenges for bonus XP.
Unlike Week One, the Week Two Weekly Challenges in Fortnite Season 5 offer something of a return to the typical challenge format. Players will once again need to grind as they have in previous seasons to earn extra XP toward their Battle Pass, though there are a few new activities for players to enjoy. The structure of these new Weekly Challenges is still difficult to ascertain, however. Challenges appear to be separated into Tiers. What used to be Weekly Challenges are now considered Epic Challenges and are worth 22,000 XP each. These are organized as progressive challenges, and, while they will be available all Season, players will need to complete them in a certain order. They will need to complete the first challenge in two separate tracks before they are able to move on to the second available challenge, then complete the second challenge in two separate tracks before being able to move on to the third, and so on. There are also Legendary Challenges, released each week, that can be completed with a Team and award 55,000 XP each.

There are seven Week 2 Challenges, as usual, that are part of the Epic Challenges list, and one Legendary Challenge that expires at the end of the week. A new activity tasks players with planting evidence and gathering clues, keeping with the bounty hunter theme of Season 5, and adding a new dimension to the list of Weekly Challenges. Here’s every challenge available during Week 2 of Fortnite Season 5.
Every Week 2 Challenge In Fortnite Season 5
This week, there is a good mix of challenges players have seen before and new activities. The Week 2 Epic Challenges are:
- Destroy mailboxes (5)
- Plant the evidence in Catty Corner or Flush Factory (3)
- Find car parts (3)
- Deliver a vehicle from Steamy Stacks to Pleasant Park
- Drive through Flaming Rings (1)
- Find clues in Pleasant Park, Holly Hedges, and Lazy Lake (3)
- Destroy dog houses (3)
Completing each one of these awards the requisite 22,000 XP. Some players are disappointed to find they will once again need to drive through a flaming ring like last season. Players will find these north of Pleasant Park.
Finding car parts is a new challenge for Season 5, but players won’t need to look too hard to complete this challenge. All car parts are located at Stealthy Stronghold, making it possible for players to grab them all at once.
All the clues players will need to gather come in the form of mailboxes. It is not clear whether this challenge has something to do with the larger plot of Season 5 or is just something new for players to accomplish in exchange for XP.
The Legendary Challenge this week is to Deal Damage with Legendary Weapons. Players will complete this challenge in stages, dealing 1500, 3000, 4500, 6000, and finally 7500 damage. This might be a good challenge to complete in Team Rumble, especially because there are no longer places to upgrade weapons to Legendary rarity in Season 5. Players will need to do some searching to find a Legendary weapon first. Completing this challenge earns 55,000 XP. This one challenge can be completed with a Squad, and all members of the Squad will earn the XP.
