Week 12 of Fortnite Season 5 has arrived, and, with it, players can find and collect a new set of XP Coins for a boost to their Battle Pass. Fortnite players usually earn XP by simply playing matches and completing Rare, Epic, and Legendary Challenges during the week, but gathering XP Coins is the quickest and easiest way to earn a large chunk of XP at once. There are 10 new Coins for players to find during Week 12, amounting to a total 68,600 XP. Each Coin has a distinctive feature: Gold Coins are worth the most, Purple will break apart into fragments when touched and need to be built around for players to collect each fragment quickly, Blue can only be found in various bodies of water, and Green are the most common and often located in open, often easy-to-spot places away from major POIs.

As in previous weeks, players will be able to find 1 Gold XP Coin, 2 Purple, 3 Blue, and 4 Green during Week 12. Many of the Week 12 XP Coins can also be found spots players must visit to complete weekly Epic Challenges, allowing them to knock out several objectives and earn a bundle of XP at once. As Dataminers point to a possible major Season 5 event, it will be important for players to get as much XP as possible ahead of the chaos. During Week 12, players can find XP Coins around the coasts of the beloved Fortnite island, with the Gold XP Coin sitting right near the heart of the map by Zero Point. - Near the water on the west side of Slurpy Swamp.
- At the base of the mountain south of Misty Meadows, near the southern tip of the island.
- In the water north of the sandbar island located northeast of Craggy Cliffs.
- In the water at the back of the Big Rig landmark, north of Dirty Docks.
- In the water below the broken steel bridge at Camp Cod.
- In the grass on a cliff northwest of Stealthy Stronghold near the coast of the island.
- On a plateau southeast of Pleasant Park, near the river that runs through the northern half of the desert biome.
- On the western coast of the island, southwest of Holly Hedges.
- On a plateau on the northeast corner of Misty Meadows.
Players looking to maximize productivity in a single match may want to consider seeking out XP Coins while completing Epic Quests for the week. Players might be able to search for Blue XP Coins and also complete the two fishing tasks for the week, Throw a Fish Back into the Water and Catch 3 Different Weapon Types from Fishing Spots. Players can also pick up the Blue XP Coin at Camp Cod and the Purple XP Coin south of Misty Meadows when they visit Mount Kay.
Dataminers have found that Epic plans to release new XP Coins for about 10 Weeks. Since XP Coins resumed in Week 7 of Season 5, players can look forward to 5 more weeks of bonus XP.
